Essential oils and probiotics have been used to help mood disorders.  The Mayo clinic recommends physical activity, healthy eating, no alcohol, smoking cessation, plenty of sleep and relaxation techniques. Relaxation methods include yoga, meditation, and visualization.

Some essential oils to try for anxiety include: Bergamot (caution photosensitivity), Lavender, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Basil, Geranium, Citrus oils, Roman Chamomile, Rose and Sandalwood.

Essential oils can be put in a diffuser, applied topically (some need dilution), placed on the bottom of the feet or used in an epsom salt bath.

PubMed reported the use of  Probiotics  for mood disorders. (2)  I take Young Living’s time release Life 5 daily.
